Written also by Lily, the young writer who wrote the poem about the unicorn which I found on the my horse page. This particular poem of Lily's is about Pegaus, the great mythical horse from Greek legends. I hope you like it as much as I did!

Pegasus

A Poem

Early in the morning before the dawn’s light,
Pegasus flew over the land in a silent flight.

Pegasus is a majestic creature,
In every mythical book does he feature.

His golden mane and tail are the colour of the dawn,
And his coat is as soft as that of a fawn.

His great wings are a bright yellow too,
Oh wonderful Pegasus, which horse compares to you?

Around the Mount of the Gods you fly all day,
Soaring with the eagles you swoop and play.

What a great horse Pegasus is,
Any young child would long for him to be his.
