Unicorn
This poem I found about a month ago when reading through some of the C2 submissions on the
my horse page. It was
written by a girl named Lily from the US of A, who kindly allowed me to create a page for it among my collection of horse poems. I was
rather impressed by Lily's simple style of writing, as I am sure you will be as well after reading this poem she titled
Unicorn.
Unicorn
A Poem
On the darkest, mistiest night,
The Unicorn appeared in a soft shroud of light.
In the deepest forest where no-one could see,
He ate his fill of sacred grass and tree.
The Unicorn is the most stunning horse,
His mane, tail and forelock are not at all coarse.
His legs are silver and his hooves are blue,
And his sapphire eyes do not give a clue.
His body is like mist, silver and sleek,
His muzzle is grey, soft and meek.
The Unicorns secret I shall keep,
Of his private dwelling I shall not speak.
