Beetle, the Old-Timer

I’ve ridden Beetle for six years. He’s an incredible horse. Without him, I don’t think I’d be the rider I am today. Beetle is about twenty-seven years old currently. He’s chestnut in colour and stands at about 14.2 hands, just big enough to be classified as a horse.
What he lacks in height, he certainally makes up for in personality. Beets is the complete opposite to the ‘push-button’ ponies that most people fancy today. He’s a rascal and very difficult at times, but if you get the hang of him, he’s absolutely amazing.
Beetle, despite his age, enjoys jumping and the ocassional ride down the Greenbelt. He’s a fast galloper, often beating the other younger horses in races. I guess that’s his Thoroughbred blood coming through!
